I just had a thought:

If culturally we exhibited more parental oversight and supervision over young boys and thus they were molested at a lesser rate, would the percentage of homosexual men then decrease as those non-molested boys reached adulthood?

Perhaps, but most parents can’t supervise children every single minute. There will be times when everyone has to hire a babysitter, or get a relative/friend to watch them, send them to daycare, school, a church function, etc. We have to, at some point, trust other adults to act as our proxies and not abuse the children we trust them with.

Unfortunately, not all adults are trustworthy like that.
