House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi predicted Wednesday that Republicans will "rue the day" if the Supreme Court buys their arguments and invalidates tax subsidies for millions of people under President Barack Obama's health care law.
Republicans have said they will try to ensure people don't lose insurance if the high court rules this summer against tax subsidies for health care coverage in certain states. But they haven't said how they would do it.
Such a ruling would present a major challenge to the GOP. Without a congressional fix some 8 million people could lose subsidies, which help them pay for their health insurance.
"They're now going to then go out and say we're going to take subsidies away from people who have health care?" Pelosi said in an interview with The Associated Press in her office overlooking the Supreme Court. "No, I don't think so."
The California Democrat, who was House speaker when the health bill became law in 2010 and was a major force behind its passage, insisted that the law was ironclad constitutionally and would not be overturned.
"I don't think it's going to happen so it's no use speculating on what I don't think is going to happen. But it would be bad news for them, it would be really bad news for them," she said of Republicans.

The smart (and best for America) move is to let the ‘RATS continue to own Obamacare 100%. However, I worry that the STUPID PARTY under Boehner and McConnell will feel compelled to rescue Obamacare. Yes....they are THAT stupid.
Eventually, we are going to have to subsidize illegal aliens anyhow, under Obamacare. At least that was their plan in pushing for a national healthcare. These monsters knew subsidies cannot be implemented forever. Eventually, that too will go bust. We should have kept what we had and made improvements on it. Not to fear...the pubbies will fix it despite their avowals to remove the zerocare scourge.

What do the Republicans have to do with it?
Nothing. And those on Obamacare’s subsidies mostly likely wouldn’t vote for a Republican (or vote at all) anyway. So, nothing lost, nothing gained except the dismantling of one preposterous pile of double steaming dog dump.
I propose to get everyone, other than the patient and the doctor, the H out of it altogether.
This constant tinkering by the unholy alliance of the insurance companies and the government was purposely constructed to get us to where we are now. Like everything else, they broke it so they would be the only ones who could “fix” it, to only their benefit.
I needed a procedure that would have “cost” the insurance company about $50K. I did a little shopping (about 20 hours in total) and paid cash for it and everything totaled to $4.2K. Under an insurance plan my wife has for herself there would have been a $6K deductable.
I pray daily that the Supremes will rule in accordance with the Constitution, overturning Obamacare subsidies. I also pray daily that the GOP will fail in their efforts to betray America and will be unable to pass a bill extending subsidies into next year. It is time for Obamacare to die. Our lives depend on a good medical system, and Obamacare will destroy the system.
