A Harry Potter character shares the same name as a prominent U.S. senator, author JK Rowling has revealed. "Moaning Myrtle's full name was Myrtle Elizabeth Warren," the author tweeted on Monday.

Ms Rowling quickly denied that the namesake had anything to do with Ms Warren, a well-known Democratic senator from Massachusetts. Fans asked on Twitter whether Rowling made up the name on the spot. She replied that she already knew Warren was Myrtle's last name, but she said Elizabeth because it is a "classic British middle name". Rowling said she laughed at the idea that Myrtle would be named after Ms. Warren.

I doubt she chose the name by accident.

JK Rowling reportedly writes great juvenile books (I have not read any of them, cannot comment). However, her first mystery novel was the most boring book I have read, and I could get through only two-thirds. And I like most mysteries. She wrote the novel under another name and it was a dud until it was revealed it was she who wrote it.

The novel Rowling wrote under the name Robert Galbraith, The Cuckoo's Calling, was awful. The writing was terrible, the plot boring. No wonder it flopped until the huge announcement: "It's really Rowling who wrote it."

I am wondering if she actually did write it or Robert wanted to have her name associated with it so they can make money. It's really bad! And there are several authors who use a famous writer's name even though that writer has no involvement in the books.

There is no Robert Galbraith, author and actual person.

BTW, liked your first books. Why haven't you written any lately?
