There was nothing overrated about Rickie Fowler at The Players Championship.
Criticized this week by his peers as an underachiever, Fowler answered with the greatest finish in the 34-year history at the TPC Sawgrass. He rallied from a five-shot deficit on the back nine by playing the final six holes in 6-under par. In a three-hole playoff, he took on every shot. And he made birdie from inside 6 feet three times Sunday on the island-green 17th. Rickie Fowler hits from the sixth tee during the final round of The Players Championship golf tournament Sunday, May 10, 2015, in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
The last one made him a sudden-death playoff winner over Kevin Kisner, who matched him shot-for-shot until the last one.
Sergio Garcia who had a putt to win in regulation, earlier was eliminated in the three-hole playoff.

As a television experience, it was perfect. To do what Rickie did today is simply mind-blowing
BTW, Rickie and Ernie are the good guys around town (Jupiter) - and give their time tirelessly ...
My hubby and I.played this morning with 2.good friends. I was asked who I thought would win. Rickie!!
Watched the whole thing. I think this changed him. He passed through the refining fire and had a fierce look to him doing it. Last thing I remember, he wilted down the stretch in a head to head with Tiger, duffing it into the drink while Tiger looked on impassively ( a couple of years ago. ) I was certainly rooting for him - nothing against the other guys.
I’ve been waiting a while for Rickie to break out.
That was an unbelievable second shot on the 16th for an eagle to put him into position for the lead. Then to birdie the difficult 17th island green was gut check time. I’m very glad he won as he is one of the truly good guys out there.
One of the best Sunday rounds I’ve ever watched.

...
Heck. He birdied the 17th three times today. Unreal.
I think they said he birdied it 5 out of the 6 times he played it in the tournament. I know he birdied it 3 out of 3 today! It was an amazing performance, and it would certainly have been a disappointment if he hadn't gone on to win after posting his incredible 12 under in regulation.
The players should be made the 5th major. It has the best field of any tournament.
Maybe now that he’s won he can buy his girlfriend some decent SHORTS!
Those used cutoffs made her look like a trailer tramp!!
They probably cost $600 in a designer boutique.
In any case, very few men have any success telling their girlfriends how to dress.
She looked like a total tramp and the kiss was most inappropriate for a golf event. I was embarrassed for both of them. GAG
Her top was falling off, too with her “sleeves” halfway down her arms.
Must be the modern tramp look.

Well, I’ll take that over a Michael Sam display.
here here!
She needs some dual instruction on how to become a lady!
Today, she was a tramp!
Amen, brother!!!
And buy her a couple of cheeseburgers, too!!! I could count her ribs and vertebra on that kiss shot...
Thanks for posting. CONGRATULATIONS to Rickie Fowler! (sheesh, i didn’t see any of it working all weekend)
Good for Rickie - been waiting for him to break through.
