Natalie Portman will play Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in On the Basis of Sex, EW has confirmed. Deadline.com was first to report the news.
The film will follow Ginsburg’s life as she fights for equality in her career as the second (and first Jewish) female justice. Marielle Heller (The Diary of a Teenage Girl) is in negotiations to direct, with a script being written by Daniel Stiepleman.

Robert DeNiro often gained or lost immense amounts of weight to achieve credibility in his roles such as the svelte young Don Vito Corleone in Godfather II or the grossly overweight lead role in Raging Bull. Will Portman undergo a double mastectomy, a double buttectomy, brain removal surgery and soak her face continually in lemon juice for a couple of years to get the face just right?

Studio executives actually sat around a table and thought: “People will pay money for a movie about Ruth Bader Ginsberg?
I’m speechless.
You could run away with her ... she’s very beautiful, and I believe I’ve read that she’s nice, too.
Direct to DVD Rentals. Its just a little smear of schmaltz to help Hillary’s campaign. Something to make her voters feel good.
Sounds like the kind of movie people would walk out to avoid seeing from an airliner.
Like most projects by liberals, there is more to this than meets the eye.
One presumes that Ginsburg will be compensated for this turd, in exchange for– what? retiring in time for Obama to name her successor? A vote on a controversial case?
Unions and PACs will purchase zillions of tickets to the film, which will play to empty houses. ‘Press junkets’ will be had, along with fawning articles in TIME, People, the NYT and WP. Interviews will spill forth from Charlie Rose, NPR, 60 Minutes. Barbara Walters will be dug up, and offer her talents.
Finally, the film will be made available on DVD, a few of which will be bought by child murderers, union dupes, etc. Most will be purchased and never viewed, destined for a landfill in New Jersey.
Once it’s forgotten, it will forever be available on Netflix, perpetually feeding royalties to the above mentioned liberal causes.
Bottom line: this is about money laundering.

If I was to run away from Mrs. FD, it would be with someone like you: someone with a brain and uses it! But I could never love again after her so I am probably ruined as a lover. Dang!

She’s real easy on the eyes...but upstairs in the cranial department, not so much. Wifey and I both cringe when she’s on “Outnumbered”.
