Goldberg died of severe head trauma in an accident while exercising at a resort in the Mexican town of Punta Mita, a Mexican state official said Monday. He was found lying next to a treadmill Friday at the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, near Puerto Vallarta.

Goldberg left his room at about 4 p.m. to exercise, and family members went to look for him after he didn't return, the Mexican official said. He was found at about 6:30 p.m. in one of the resort's gymnasiums lying by a treadmill in a pool of blood, with a blow to the lower back of his head.
He apparently had slipped on the treadmill and hit the machine, said the official, who was not authorized to speak to the press and spoke on condition of anonymity.
Goldberg still had vital signs when he was discovered, but later died at a hospital in Nuevo Vallarta, the official said. The cause of death was severe head trauma and hypovolemic shock, or bleeding, the official said.
The family had checked in on April 30 to the exclusive resort, where rooms start at $500 a night and villas go for up to $5,000 a night. The thatched roof resort nestled into a hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean has an ocean-side infinity pool, golf course and rooms with hammocks and terraces opening out to the water.

Well...he could have twisted an ankle...fallen back and hit his head on back end of treadmill or floor...I spend enough time on a TM to be very cognizant of possibilities. .plus saw a lady go flying backwards off one once
Too bad old Harry survived the beat down his brother gave him.
There are a lot of ways to fall on a treadmill and get spit off the back.
You lose your balance and you fall, jeez.
Odd.
Hard enough to cause great blood loss? Right.
Why go to a gym when one can always exercise outside (’cept in places like Baltimore)?
Plus, the back of the treadmill, is the Tread.which is going over a roller,
I don’t think so either.
Odd way to fall.
Very suspicious. I’ve been on a treadmill for sprint training-hopped on at max speed to “force” you to go faster for a several seconds at a time. I fell once-forward. I don’t see how you could fall backward on a treadmill unless you already unconscious when you fell.
People slam their head on cement floors, bleed out and die on a regular basis. Put him on blood thinner What’s your theory, that someone came into a fancy private resort and smashed this guy on the back of the head as he worked out?
Arkancide has no limits...
All I can say is that you can go to any gym and see row upon row of people working out inside.
As I was saying before I hit “post,” put him on blood thinners and it’s even easier.
It was that Flyer fan on the GEICO commercial...followed by the Bruin fan.
Looks dangerous.
