If you resis tarrest you might just get away for a little while. There is a larger chance that you will be in jail facing stiffer penalties than might have been in prospect if you had just co-operated and there is a not inconsiderable chance that you will be dead.

This only had 29k views on YouTube when I watched it...which is unfortunately not surprising. Every word he says is the truth...and so it will remain largely overlooked.

It should be noted that if anyone isn’t doing anything wrong, it’s unlikely the cops will be chasing you.........

I’ve been pulled over for “driving a car like the one they were looking for”. I didn’t love it but I was cooperative and on my way in under 10 minutes.

In my drinking days I was pulled over while loaded, breathalyzed over the limit and still turned loose because I was close to home.

Yeah? And what do you do when there's two copy, one yelling, "Get out of the car" and the other yelling, "Don't move" - and the poor sucker goes to unbuckle his seat belt gets shot for his trouble.

Cops are just out of control. Best thing is to just stay away from them.

If you are constantly being pulled over or getting involved in confrontations with law enforcement, chances are the issue is with you, so take a step back and reevaluate your behavior and the things you may be doing to cause the issues with authority. "

I have stopped exceeding the speed limit and I haven't had ticket.

Sure there are still going to be cops who should not have badges and guns but what this guy is talking about is staying alive.

I got into a situation once 35 years ago the police were watching a farm for a guy who had shot a cop in the city. I knew someone who lived there and stopped in one morning on my way somewhere else. We were standing outside the house and all of a sudden cops everywhere with guns, all pointing at me. They later said I looked like the guy they were looking for.

They yelled “get down” “face down on the ground” I knew I had not broken any law and there has never been a reason for me to be arrested for anything. So I refused, I thought I could argue with them and did for about 30 seconds and then laid down on ground. I told them before laying down, “don’t point your guns at me...I am not a criminal....I have not broken any law....one of you could accidentally pull the trigger.” In hind sight it was dumb I could have got shot...killed. As it turned out the guy who handcuffed me put the cuffs on so tight my hands swole up and it took lots of complaining to get them loosened. They knew I was not the guy they were looking for when they first got close to me but with guns already pointed and commands yelled they were cuffing me or shooting me anyways. They let me go after telling me how close I came to getting shot.

Better to comply and live than know you are right as you die from gun shots.

Fear the police. Otherwise they'll kill you.

Perhaps not a good long-term deal, but the situation is what it is for the time. As soon as you "martyr" yourself "for the cause", and I see the obit, I will consider that the assumption that must be taken from your comment is correct and that it is far more noble to resist and die than to acquiesce and live to fight the battle in a meaningful way.
