Emeka Mbadiwe is a youth director with a much-needed message for young black males. After spending a substantial amount of time wondering how many people would still be alive today if they had not been killed while resisting arrest, he issued this polarizing message:

Comply: Emeka calls it “common sense” to surrender to the police. “If they say stop, you stop. If they say freeze, you freeze. If they say get out of the car, you get out of the car… If they say surrender, you surrender if you want to live,” he says. He follows this up by saying that there is a time and place to defend yourself if you feel you’ve been wrongfully targeted; namely, in a courtroom with an attorney, not physically on the streets. Evaluate yourself: If you are constantly being pulled over or getting involved in confrontations with law enforcement, chances are the issue is with you, so take a step back and reevaluate your behavior and the things you may be doing to cause the issues with authority. Adapt to your environment: Instead of looking the part of a thug, pull your pants up. “Dress like a prospect, not like a suspect,” says Emeka. Do something about black-on-black violence: “What if we got equally as mad when a black person killed another black person as when a cop did it?” wonders Emeka. He points out what many conservatives have been thinking all along – there is no protest or national outrage when a black person kills another black person. Re-examine who the true racists are: “When a white person kills a black person, we say we want justice,” says Emeka. “But when a black person kills another black person, we say ‘no snitching’.” That is inherently racist. Love one another: Stop posting violent videos online. Instead, make an effort to teach impressionable youths some of the values that will turn them into responsible, contributing members of society.
Emeka Mbadiwe is fully aware that many progressives and folks within the black community will be “angry” with the very important message he has for African-American youths, but that hasn’t stopped him from saying what so badly needs to be said. Share this story if you support his message!

Too many folks will reject this guy’s comments simply because they will appear to be acting white.....but his comments are spot on. Prospect not a suspect.....home run.

I agree with everything you said. But who is going to foot the cost of their court bill? Yep, the tax payers are screwed regardless.
One of the few with the courage to tell the truth. We need to support this man and those like Sheriff Clarke who speak common sense and respect for the law.
Black person killed by white person/cop: “No justice, no peace!!”
Black person killed by another black person: “Snitches get stitches!!”
Always do what the government tells you to do.
How about just do be, dress or appear to act like a criminal thug to others or cops?
How about treat others how you would like to be treated - not how you have been or are being treated? How about living by the Golden Rule instead of Eye for an Eye and Diss Me I kick your ass?

As one Fox News guest said yesterday, Freddie could easily been murdered at a bar for bumping into someone and not saying sorry and no one would have said anything or even noticed.
This man’s generally good advice to young black hoodrats does not negate the need for some serious attitudinal cleanup among professional peace officers.
