Perhaps the biggest fight since Ali-Frazier deserves a live thread. Didn't see one so I guess I'll do it.
I got Pacquiao by KO 12th.
Watching.
Can we just drop Geraldo Rivera in the ring and let them take turns beating his ass?
Any of you guys watching this? This is HUGE!
yup....few more “minutes”..its on. I’m in for Manny..
I’m pulling for Manny BTW.
I’m watching it, the thing is dragging on and on though. Also if I root for Pacquiao does that make me racist?
I’m not into boxing, but which one is the Hispanic guy on the Wheaties box? And which one is the Hispanic guy who punches pistachio nuts on the TV commercial?
The demand is so high for Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao that it has quite literally knocked out the pay-per-view service showing the fight.
ESPN's Darren Rovell shared a screenshot from one fan who was told that the bout won't be available to purchase for two weeks:
Thanks for posting. Although I’m not that interested in the fight (I know it’s a big one), I’d be pulling for Mayweather.
I love Manny’s humility and anchoring, but my money’s on Mayweather.
Thanks for posting. I’ve been trying all night to find a way to at least Hear this fight. (My Daddy was a boxer.)
I’m for Manny, by the way...

I’m here in the PI where time stops
Update please... How many miles did Mayfly put in running from the PacMan in Round 1?
WTF? The Mexican national anthem? What am I missing here?
Checking in....watching. Pacquiao all the way! Here we go...
Back in the ‘70s, I never went but they had some of these big fights in movie theaters. That’d be fun. They probably still do things like that.
I don’t follow boxing but I had heard that one of the ciritcisms of Mayweather was that they had held off a number of good fighters for years, waiting to finally fight until they were not at the peak of their game. And that this kind of brush-off tactic was a common gripe with him and that’s part of the reason for his undefeated record.
First of all, why was this farce being referred to as the “Fight of the Century? The FOTC occured on March 8th, 1971, just for the record.
Secondly, this fight was only 6 years too late. The Cherry Picker Mayweather waited and waited, pissed and moaned, faked retirement and nearly turned himself into a pretzel in avoiding Pacquiao when the Filipino was at his best. Nothing like watching a potential rival getting brutally ko’ed (by J.M. Marquez) and basically lose to age what made him special....THEN agreeing to fight him. Compare this behavior to Muhammad Ali, emerging from his exile in late 1970, taking on two real tough guys in Quarry and Bonavena and then waiting no later than 3/8/1971 to get in the ring with Smokin Joe Frazier. Ali was a badass, Mayweather is a poser...nothing more.
A LIVE thread for a dead fight.. Cool!! Thanks!
