About 15-20 minutes into the imposed curfew, the police started to advance on the Pennsylvania Ave intersection. Aside from bottles being thrown, reports of firecrackers or fireworks, and tear gas being fired, no casualties were reported. Some youth threw garbage into the street before they retreated. As VICE News reported, they showed a store being looted, along with some people turning the camera away to avoid showing their faces, and yelling at them to leave. The residents interview say that the police have planted drugs on "suspects" and forcibly searched random residents without reason for generations. Three cars were set on fire to form a blockade; their charred remains were filmed. Part of the housing projects (Gillmore Homes) where Freddie Gray was last seen has been set on fire, and the fire department is on the scene. Seven arrests have been reported from MSNBC.

Some youth threw garbage into the street...
They threw each other into the street?
There were previous cases of fires being started from garbage piles... everyone on the street being interviewed are saying that young people can find no other way to respond, and that these young people, including ones that are looting stores, are not gang-related.
Vice reporter is just feeding the mass.
Anyone throwing a brick at police or fire bombs can respond to hollow point police bullets.
Vice reporter is getting out of comfort zone. Told to leave so they can loot in peace.
Got a text this AM saying that some people were defending their property by playing Korean shopkeeper from their own roofs and that the police are cracking down on them, while ignoring rioters.
Can anyone confirm?
