I was a combat engineer (light type—not construction). We’re really quite sane except for our sense of humor.

Sheen was horribly miscast and had no business playing Lee. Duvall knocked the role out of the park in, "Gods and Generals."

That said (and politics aside), Sheen is a perfectly competent actor in the right roles. "Da," in which Sheen plays a son who just lost his father, and, "The Way," in which he plays a father who just lost a son, are two of his very best movies and I watch one or both every father's day...they're both exceptional movies.
