If you ever get to Rome, go to this cathedral without fail. You will see amazing relics and a full-size back-lit reproduction of the entire Shroud.

This repro allows a better observation than the actual Shroud would give. You can stand just a few feet away from it and the detail is incredible. The image will stagger you, believer or not.

This is a pilgrimage church, but not very well known and not crowded when I was there.

We used to have one of those full size hi-resolution back-lit images in Stockton, CA at the Shroud of Turin center. It was amazing to see. Free or donation to go in and see it. They sponsored several Shroud symposia at the Hilton Hotel in Stockton and some of the top names in Shroud research came and presented.
