I don’t think there is any risk confusing Morels with something else is there?
For some people maybe. What I heard on Strange ER episodes is that almost all mushrooms have a poisonous relative that looks quite similar.
I also seem to remember some conversations that my Dad had with others regarding being careful collecting them, if they had no prior experience.
However, I have no first hand experience myself.
Not if you pay attention to what you're picking. Verpa and Gyromitra are somewhat similar visually, but different enough that there's really no reason to mistake them for morels.
Mrs. Augie and I found these and a bunch more just like em yesterday.
