Word For The Day, Monday, 4/20/15

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
minion; noun/adj
1. a servile follower or subordinate of a person in power.
2. a favored or highly regarded person.
3. a minor official.
4. Printing. a 7-point type. adjective 5. dainty; elegant; trim; pretty.
Etymology: 1490-1500; < Middle French mignon, for Old French mignot dainty <
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

I see you’re a fan as well!
I think my favorite aspect wrt the minions was the subtle humor of Gru calling them each by name and asking them something specific about their families.

My daughter and niece are doing their parts to outbreed the leftist minions. xsgrandson and xsgrandniece/nephew due this summer and fall. Congrats!
Speaking of adding to the good column, the wife and I will be adding one in the end of summer ourselves.

Williamson is the best writer going right now.
I loved his line about some men needing to be servile to someone who if circumstances had been just slightly different would be running a Chipotle as opposed to doing a photo op at one.
