I don’t have a Mercedes but you might look under the steering wheel. (Generally readily available and obvious.) Another location is above a fuse box on the driver’s side under the hood.

Hmm...Yeah, no fixing that. The car is basically ruined but I’d be happy to take it off your hands for yah’.

I had a Mercedes and it was constantly doing stupid stuff like this.. Telling me the hood was up when it wasn’t..
I got rid of it just before the warranty expired. I didn’t want to be on the hook for the service managers boat payments.

Mercedes Renard? Glad you asked.
She likes long walks on the beach. Puppies and champagne.
I dated her for awhile, no personality whatsoever.

I had a 2011.I found the method to deactivate the service warning on youtube.I'm a technology dunce and was able to do it so unless things changed from ‘09 to ‘11 you should be fine.

Find a Mercedes forum (there are a number of them), try searching for an answer, and if not, then post your question.

I could do it but it’ll cost you $120...at least for the first hour of labor. Parts are extra.
All seriousnous aside...it’ll probably be cheaper than it cost us to get one headlight bulb replaced in my wife’s Prius...$300. They had to unwrap the front end to get to the bulb.

I believe it’s under the dash.. little snap door that pulls down just to the side of the steering column on the left.

Hold your mouth just right, put your car in park, turn the key to “on”, put the radio on FM 108, press the brake and the gas pedals at the exact same time 19 times in 2 seconds while holding in the odometer reset

It’s a Nazi car—get used to it. You WILL follow instructions or suffer the consequences.
Seriously, I have a C300 (2013). it does complain about a lot of things—much more than any care I’ve ever owned. Usually, you can just acknowledge those alert and they will stay off until you start the car again.

Read the manual. If it’s like the BMW’s, the manual will tell you how to deactivate it via a series of button presses.
