I couldn’t write such a sentence in third grade and I was smart. Kids don’t go into detail. They would just say “I miss my dad” This is a lie. When I was in High School and writing in my English journal about my father’s death. I wrote I miss him. Didn’t write what he died of, etc. I call bull.
There’s a couple of threads on FR about this kid who wrote about Common Core in front of adults. Working with kids for Nickelodeon at various age groups, I know that kid didn’t write that script. And this one raised my BS meter too. I wish that teacher knew the student was full of crap...
I questioned this when I saw the use of hyphens in the sentence.
