I have long heard the theory that the "Ozone" problem came about as a result of the patents for freon expiring and Dupont needing to recreate their monopoly and ban everyone else from using the old formula.

Don't know if it's true, but it has the ring of truth about it. It sounds plausible to my increasingly cynical mind.

But that the "Ozone Hole" scare was complete made up bullsh*t I do not doubt, and I think you are right. The "Ozone Hole" scare was a warm up for "Global Warming" bullsh*t.
