Grandfather has some great stories!
He’s 92 now so knew all the great older pros.
I got one. Years ago a gal in our euchre club had an ex-marital affair with a major pro golfer, she was hysterical and jealous most of the time, waiting to see him or to get a call. I knew her sister and finally asked who the guy was............we all lived in Columbus, OH and it wasn’t the Bear. LOL
Whoa!
Now somebody explain how that could possibly happen in real life.
It is real life.
It’s called backspin on the ball.
That’s why guys like Jack are different from you and me.

Oh, come on.....these guys are Pros; they hit the ball from the tee in such a way that when it hits a solid green, the back "English" makes it roll backwards.
A downward slope towards the pin helps matters out too.
BTW, Jack has probably played that same hole hundreds of times.
A great deal of skill, a grate deal of practice,a great deal of luck, and huge karma.
Don’t know if Jack cheated but it is well known that Arnie was a ladies man and could drink with the best of them.
Thanks for the explanation. During the few times when I play golf, that never happens for me. The ball just hits the ground and keeps rolling forward to a stop. Hopefully it does not stop in the water or in the woods.
