The commercial for this new show are annoying. She whines I am an american soldier...can’t see a guy soldier saying that.

I think it would be better to draft women. Since women are only paid 70% of what men are paid, the pentagon will say millions of dollars, which they can spend on other projects - such as making Muslims feel good about themselves.

Oh, good God.

Of course they cannot do the job. It doesn’t mean they are incompetent, unintelligent, un-dedicated, or whatever.

They cannot be Special Forces personnel for the same reason you don’t see any female football players. Special Forces are at the top of a pyramid for a reason, because physical ability plays into it so dominantly.

The two creepy things that I discerned from the article:

1) The military brass is not listening to these concerns in hopes of addressing them, but in hopes of trying to get the troops to be supportive of putting women in more combat positions regardless.

2) Women are being put in more combat roles by the decision of the politicized military brass with no input from the American citizenry.

I remember in the not too distant past of there being a fairly rigorous public debate about women in combat. Evidently the powers that be have decided they no longer need our input ... though they still seem to need our tax dollars.

The whole reason the Left wants women in combat is because of the anti-war propaganda-tool they will have when female troops start coming home in body-bags.

Anyone knows there are many strong guy candidates that don’t make it through to Special Ops or Seals or whatever elite teams you want to talk about. It’s certainly not women bashing. It’s just damn, damn hard. We’re dealing with the physical realities and limitations of male and female bodies.

Special units will cease to be special with women and flagrant homosexuals on board, especially in the command and they will be in the command. In another year and a half the only part of the military that will remain effective will be the drones because they are useful for assassinations and can be effectively run by women and queers.

The Border Patrol feminized starting in the 70’s now we have tens of millions of illegal aliens inside our country, raping, murdering and sucking off of welfare. We went from being a feared and respectrd law enforcement agency to nothing more than a high priced welfare program. We no longer have effective border security and drug cartels have operational control over parts of our sovereign territory. Feminization of our military seems to be working just as well.

It’s OK, they can always be pilots.

They cannot be pilots in the USMC. Ooops, I was wrong. I guess they also have lowered the standards for the Corps in order to get women into pilots billets.

According to the article. "Women have moved into Army artillery jobs and serve on Navy submarines and in the naval Riverine units. But none has made it through the Marine Corps' officer infantry course."

"The Marine Corps initially opened the Infantry Officer Course to women coming out of introductory officer training at The Basic School at Quantico. The results thus far: Only 20 women have attempted it, and none have completed it. Some have come close to passing the grueling initial Combat Endurance Test, as I observed on site for Marine Corps Times last year, but they all fell short." Marine Corps dilemma with women prompts change at infantry school

It used to be a basic tenet of the Corps that "Every Marine a Rifleman, Every Marine officer an Infantry Platoon commander." With very few exceptions, ALL Marine officers go through the Basic Infantry Platoon Leaders course at Quantico, known as "The Basic School", before going on to specialized training as pilots, artillery, tanks, supply, etc.

Marine pilots serve as Forward Air Controllers (FACs) and Air Liaison Officers (ALOs) with infantry battalions and occasionally artillery battalions. I spent a year as a FAC with 3rd Bn, 4th Marines on a Battalion Landing Team in the western Pacific (WESTPAC). One training operation required carrying a 115 lb backpack (a lot of radios, batteries & cold weather gear) in the mountains of Korean.

My XO at The basic School (TBS) Quantico (an F-8 Crusader fighter pilot) told of his tour as the G-3 (Operations Officer) 3rd Marine Division in Vietnam. He said he had 2 Regimental G-3s working for him who were pilots and two rifle company commanders who were pilots...leading a Marine infantry company in the bush in combat.

My question is, do these new women Marine pilots also serve FAC & ALO tours, or do the men have to take up the slack for them?

What gets me is that there is continual coercion of military personnel to say that women can perform in combat roles, with the threat that if they say no, they will be denied promotions and otherwise punished.

They leftists mean to have their way, and damn reality, common sense, experience, and objective analysis. They are like petulant children, and they are utterly unconcerned that they are toying with other people’s very lives.

[[AP Exclusive: Special ops troops doubt women can do the job ]]

Many of them can’t which is why liberal and feminist groups have been trying for a long time to make tryouts/basic training etc less strenuous and difficult.

The reason it is so difficult is because people’s lives depend on a person being tough enough that they can help their fellow soldiers under the most grueling and physical of conditions- Granted, some women are extremely strong, and excellent endurance and are brilliant under stress- however a majority of women simply aren’t and never will be

[[After all, fighting “fair” is more important than winning!]]

Exactly- why the hell don’t army, ranger etc captians or whatever come on TV news and state that very thing- War is NOT about fighting fair, or equality, War IS about winning with as few casualties as possible, and it takes a TOUGH rugged individual in many circumstances to handle what is required of them, and MOST women are simply not capable of handling the job as efficiently and successfully as a man- period- We’ve had decades to prove this point- MOST women simply are not capable of doing what a man can do- Some may get close, but close isn’t good enough- there ARE standards that MUST be met on the battlefield for the safety of all involved! and liberal and feminist groups whining about ‘unfairness’ and demanding that these standards be lowered ARE trying to put our soldier’s lives at risk- SHAME ON THEM!

You are not going to win this political battle with logic. It is a political battle.

This is not about women wanting to be Rangers. This is about money and power.

The Liberals want to pick and choose their fights. That way, they dictate the battlefield. They can’t be allowed to continue to do that.

The Liberals feel that this is an easy battle for them to win. And they will win if we try to argue with just logic.

We have to put the Liberals at hazard. There needs to be a cost to them for this battle. The cost should be a political cost. It should separate voters from the Democrat Party. Then, this issue will quickly fade.

The trade off should be that if they want women in the Infantry, then all women should be eligible for the Infantry. All females between the ages of 18 and 55 will be made to register with the Selective Service. All females should have to be able to be drafted for the Infantry.

“The Democrats hate women! They want to have women killed!”

If you want too see this issue go away, just let Hillary start to think about Chelsea getting her head blown off in combat. All that Liberalism will go right out the window.

I doubt it, too. Biology is a harsh mistress. It's a FACT of nature that the average woman is much less physically strong and has much less endurance than the average man.

Wishful thinking strikes again. This society is full of it. That, too.

a high priced welfare program

It appears to me that the administration has now made Aiding and Abetting the primary mission of the BP.

Oddly, I remember when it was a federal felony.
