California mother gunned down in front of 12-year-old son after chuckling at stranger on the road: cops

She chuckled, then she got killed.
A California mother innocently laughed at a stranger on the road moments before the man shot her and her 12-year-old son, killing the woman, police said.
"It appears to be random or misguided," Lt. Dave Coleman told the Daily Breeze about the cold-blooded killing.
Denise Chiffon Berry, 44, was driving in Hawthorne Wednesday afternoon with her son when the boy made eye contact with three men driving by in a Cadillac, police said.
The boy told police Berry noticed one of the Cadillac passengers had his feet hanging out the window, laughed and remarked: "Look at that, isn't that funny?"
Then she drove on — and the men followed.

I, as his dad, have a responsibility to train him how to handle adversity and have self-control.

When I was 17 (and a broad shouldered wrestler and weight lifter), I accidentally drove through a red light at a three way intersection. An older man was making a legal turn into my lane and he saved both our asses because avoided me. To my horror and embarrassment, I instantly realized what I had done. The man was understandably REALLY pissed off and started tailgating me. It was daytime and I quickly found an empty church parking lot to turn into, to let him go. Well, he followed me right in. I felt bad and thought “I’ll just let this guy yell at me and I’ll apologize - PROFUSELY!”. I parked my car in a manner that was facing him and got out. He saw the size of me and quickly sped away. I then figured out he was probably 60 or so, and just figured he didn’t want any trouble. I still feel bad about it and wish I could have apologized rather than accidentally scare him.
(... Or... Maybe he went home to get a gun!! Ha ha!)

The lack of fathers is just frosting, and it might have a genetic influence also.
Probably similar to the way my dog acts. When he gets excited over something, he gets fixed on the chase ignoring everything else around him. Just like getting run over chasing a squirrel.

LOL! That’s happened to me a few times as well, I know exactly what you mean. I’m 6’5” and use to work out and got into a few altercations where I had to exit the vehicle and it’s like that Munsters episode if you ever remember that show, where Marilyns date shows up and 7 foot tall Herman answers the door and the date runs away in hyper speed. LOL! It sucks because sometimes when I’m using the ATM late at night a woman could be in the vestibule there and she immediately freaks out like I’m going to kill her, or the worst was when I use to work in Brooklyn and I would walk to work 4am and of course, of course there would ALWAYS be some guy or girl who is 5’4” walking in front of me and I try to walk slow so I don’t overtake them, and they ALWAYS walked so damn slow and suddenly I’m behind them and they absolutely freak out. I had one guy once go into a karate stance and attack me LOL! He was good too, did a complete round house but missed me as I backed up “Whoa whoa whoa”. Probably the worst one I feel bad about was I was trying to park and this guy took my spot and I yelled out the window and he gave me this look like “F you” so I got mad and jumped out of the car and this look of horror came over him and he rolled up his windows and I saw he had kids in the car and they were all cowering freakin out like the boogey man was going to kill them. That one really hurt, I hate it.
LOVE THAT POST! LOL! I was just private messaging with Freeper “Phil” about this thread and I admitted to him that I was only 5’6” (formerly ‘built’, you’ve seen the type... Short stocky little tanks). Well, I recently worked with retired Raider Greg Wisniewski and he is exactly your height and about as wide!!
