I totally agree! I remember the first time I ever saw one of the huge 'Super' Star Destroyer command ships in The Empire Strikes Back, and being only 6 or 7 years old at the time; I was in awe!
I like the actual name of a so called Super Star Destroyer which is the Executor Class Star Dreadnought, which it really is a Dreadnought, the weapons those things have are sick and to think the RA could kill one at the battle of Endor, my goodness.
What a bunch of BS Lucas foisted on us when that kamikaze taking out a Super Star Destroyer. I am not which was worse that or the Ewoks beating an elite Imperial formation.

I always thought Star Wars had much cooler ships than Star Trek. Would be super cool to see an epic space battle between the ships from Star Wars going up against the ships from Star Trek. I believe the Star Wars fleet would kick their ass! I always thought it was hilarious how there was a ship from Star Trek that was used by some group of villains and it looked like a big black box! LOL!!
I never liked Star Trek, so I’m probably a little biased. I was always a die hard Star Wars fan. I’d say it’s mainly because Star Trek was before my time. I have enjoyed all of the Star Trek movies I’ve seen, but just like Star Wars much more. ;^p

Yeah, that was crazy! No one would design a ship that robust and have such a weak central point of failure, ESPECIALLY leaving it exposed in such a way where a small light fighter crashing into it will bring the entire thing down.
I believe they had lost their shields, but it still defies logic. That ship should have only been crippled at best, and only temporarily at that.
It was very cool watching it go ‘head first’ into the Death Star though. lol

I had that debate with a Trekker friend of mine (much to the amusement of his wife). He posited that it would be a no-brainer for the Federation to dominate, by simply beaming boarding teams to the bridges of the Imperial ships.
