Dodging raindrops and balancing bottled water and a bunch of power bars under one arm, a young man returned to his car at a Sheetz gas pump along old U.S. 40 in this western Maryland town, sandwiched between Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

The local public radio station blared through the open car door, reporting on the letter to Iran from 47 Senate Republicans. Adjusting his seat, he said to a traveling companion: “Good for them.”

“Wait, who?” his friend asked...

This particular topic has already been discussed, but for some reason I find this article well-written and interesting, so I am posting it for discussion.

I'm not sure why I like the way this is written, but it grabbed hold of me from the word "go".

Enjoy.

Contrary to popular hysteria, he did not “send” it to Iran; it was an open letter posted on his Senate website.

Liberals live to foment popular hysteria.

Salena Zito is a voice of reason in an irrational world. From her perch in Pittsburgh she send her slings and arrows into the DC swamp with precision. She is a heartland writer who has earned her spurs.

“The guys who sent the letter to Iran, that Cotton guy,” he replied. “For all we know, the president will issue an executive order and give Iran whatever they want.”

Then he shut the car’s door and drove east toward the U.S. 522 overpass.

An Obama-Biden sticker was plastered to his rear bumper.

Just a bit more. This is really well written.

Score one for the good guys. When the opposition party does something to stir up a hornet's nest in this administration, it is apparent as soon as the propagandist media and liberal bobbling heads start attacking the critics. I'm surprised they didn't call Cotton's letter racist, which is almost always mixed into their counter attacks on the Republicans.

The Drudge Report headline says it all: Khamenei Calls For "Death To America" at the same time Kommie Kerry Hails Nuke Progress. WTF?! Sub-headline: Iran's supreme leader calls Obama Video "insincere". And Obama and Kerry are embracing these evil nut jobs? Talk about little kids literally running the country....

Yep, I used to read her posts regularly. But now that she has hit the big time, probably she’s too busy to post on FR.

And BTW, she has become a regular guest on John Batchelor’s nightly radio program. All the more reason to tune in!

It looks like she maybe hasn’t posted since 2012.

Ms. Zito, you’re very welcome to come back. :D
