Yeah, I am supposed to feel ashamed for the way that a spoiled idiot was treated by her hometown that she thinks is too "backward" to truly appreciate her. Someday, she may grow-up and become a half-way decent adult. Maybe.

I am proud of Amarillo for treating these Dixie Chicks as the anti-American crude that they are.

“yet cant even grant her some Christian forgiveness”
She hasn’t asked for it. Nor has she repented. Therefore forgiveness isn’t warranted.

I’m thinking Lubbock doesn’t need the likes of Natalie Maines.

These girls were a manfactured marketing product. They were capable players and singers, but nothing that special. Go into any bar in Austin or Nashville and find twenty girls with just as much talent.
But the record label marketed them like they were a big deal, and the record buyers played along, because they usually do. And everybody was happy.
Then she acted like a jackass multiple times and broke the spell. Everybody realized they were ordinary and nobody needed to buy anything from them ever again.
When you're Willie Nelson or Johnny Cash or Kris Kristofferson, you are unique talent. You can go out and say any stupid or crazy thing you want to say and people will still buy your records because you matter as an artist, even when you are saying something annoying.
The Dixie Chicks never mattered as artists and they should have just shut up and cashed the checks.

Sounds like Wesley has the hots for Maines. Really, I’ll bet Wesley is the ONLY moron in Lubbock, Texas who shives a git about how the town treated the rich, subhuman celebrity. It sure as hell doesn’t bother me.

Looks like they wrote a nasty song about Lubbock called “Lubbock or leave it”. And its nothing but hating on religion and believe it or not, Buddy Holly.
Who the -hell- could have disdain for Buddy Holly?

Artists of all stripes should learn to leave politics out of their public persona. As soon as they reveal themselves they lose 40% of their potential audience.
But libs can’t help themselves. They feel a deep inner need to use their power to communicate with people to try and tell them what they should think.
Natalie Maines didn’t have to get political but she chose to..no one else. She has to live with the consequences.
I no longer watch movies with Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, Julia Roberts, Tim Robbins, and a whole host of others who decided to promote godless socialism at the expense of Americanism.
