“The real issue here is, did GM actually sell 64K?” —goodwithagun

“I didn’t even know they sold 64,000 Volts” —Jim from C-Town

“Check to see which Gov’t agencies were forced to eat 50,000 or so Volts...” —RetiredTexasVet

The Volt has sold around 1,000 to 2,000 a month for about four years now since it was released. Most EV sales in general are on the west coast with the Bay Area being the number one metropolitan area for sales. As of December the Volt specifically had broken 70,000 sold.

As far as government sales, there was a report early on of the Pentagon buying 1,500 Volts and I believe the city of Las Vegas buying 100. (I personally would like to get a Volt as my next car... screw OPEC.)

Some kind of hybrid would do well for me, but I still feel really annoyed that some people have no common sense when it comes to running a car engine in a garage. This is dumber than leaving a child in a bath tub unsupervised. Should we recall bathtubs just because some children will drown in them? I don’t think so.
