At one time the Flat Earth theory was settled science. At another time the planets revolving around the Earth was settled science. Luckily some real scientists decided the science was not settled. Facts are that we have small icebergs beaching at Cape Cod, have recently broke the world record for most snowfall in 24 hours, have near record ice cover in the Great Lakes for two winters and here in Texas we have recently had cold fronts coming up from Mexico. Nothing is ever settled on Planet Ape.

True science is never settled. It is always open to new discoveries, inquiry, curiosity and even refutation of existing hypotheses.
The term "settled science" is a fabrication by persons with a legalistic mind set. The great scientists were the ones who upset the existing theories by proposing new ones based upon new data or deeper insight.

Lawyers have “settled law”. Scientists have theories and hypotheses which are always subject to analysis, criticism and even profound disagreements.

Yeah, I’m done with National Geographic. Every issue has multiple mentions of global warming. I didn’t even open last month’s issue. I just threw it straight in the trash.

National Geographic --- further proof that liberalism destroys EVERYTHING it controls.
My subscription lapsed years ago.

And the measurement techniques and computer models are imprecise with error. Sometimes gross error.

No scientist is addressing the Global Gravity increase, look at Hillary, she has settled quite a bit over the years. I feel a bit wider myself.
Surely this is settled science.

One of the advantages of being educated as a scientist is that I have actually done science.

National Geographic has never bothered with Science; they’ve always been a propaganda horn.
