yeah, unbelievable when you think back on it, many kids (and ‘adults’) today have no idea what it was like driving around looking for a “phonebooth”. You should have taken a pic of it with your ‘smartphone’.

Yep. Because of necessity, we were also pretty good at finding them.

Times move on, and older technologies surrender to the new. I watched the older members of my family experiencing those same transitions while I was growing up. They accepted the changes, but I think the pace was way too brisk for their taste.

I'm pretty sure my dad's parents kept a rotary dial telephone in their house until my granddad passed in '92. He also loved manual shift transmissions. Even his 80s era Ford pickup had a stick shift.
