Now I have a reason to root against the Dolphins.
The Fish already have the best pass rusher in the NFL (Wake). Suh takes up blockers, but isn’t worth anywhere near this kind of guaranteed money. This would also signal them letting Odrick walk.
I don’t speak Vulcan. How do you promounce that name?
I don’t like this guy. I think he’s a thug. I’d bet money that he’s not around for all six years of this contract - for one reason or another.
Glad he won’t be stomping on the arms, legs and heads of Packer players anymore.
He’s a disgrace.
The fat thug will tic of the wrong person off in Miami, on or off the field! Screw him! Something about the heat down there. (Yes, Florida girl)
On the defense side, Nick Fairley appears to be gone or at least a goner; they’ve got enough on the bench to develop any (older) free agents and any rookie draft picks they nab. Or at least, they’ll *have* to. :’) A dominant player like Suh tends to obscure whomever else is on the team. Not exactly a plus to have him gone, but perhaps not as devastating as it looks.
Special teams is always teetering on the brink, especially in Detroit. I’d guess the coach will address any of those problems with some shifts and some free agent moves. Prater’s been signed to a three year.
On the offensive side, they look to be shoring up their running game, which makes sense, Stafford is not getting any younger, and everyone else in the league looks like they have shutdown corners when they play the Lions.
That ex-security guard was the biggest sports story of last year in Detroit, afaic. :’)
