I have two sons, both adopted three days after birth, born five years apart.

From my personal experience - If you assume parenthood with the notion that it is somehow all about making *YOU* happy, then you are very much in the wrong business.

It works out lots better when you come at it from the point of view that you have a good life already and you’re willing to give it to a helpless human who needs love. And stuff too.

Stuff isn’t the main thing, but it doesn’t hurt.

And while I agree with Doc Holiday that “There is no “normal” life, Wyatt” that does not preclude the fact that there are some sorts of life that are decidedly *abnormal*.

And Yeah, Buddy! THIS is abnormal.
