The suicide rate for girls and young women in the U.S. continues to rise, at a pace far faster than for young males, health officials said Thursday.
The rate for boys and young men increased since 2007, too. And it remains three times higher than the female rate for ages 10 to 24. […]

A permanent solution to a temporary problem. Sad.
I hate to say it but maybe they’re getting a good look at what passes for a lot of the males out there and are just deciding to call it quits.
If there is no religious, spiritual voicing going on in their lives ... they ARE just as good as dead.
The survivors have a ton of issues they deal with constantly and they exist rather than live.
American society pushes kids to "learn' and prepare for the future ... which is no longer just a simple .... follow dad into the mines or mills or farms

We look at those numbers of male versus female, and see that we have to worry about the female rate?
The message kids should get about suicide is that it is stupid, and people who do it are stupid and selfish. I have seen plagues of youth suicide go through communities because everyone goes on and on about how wonderful and sad it is that so-and-so killed themselves and how they were victims of society and the mean world.
Suicide will be attractive to kids if you make it attractive. It will be un-attractive if you make it un-attractive.
I heartily agree that we as a society, whether we as individuals agree, force our children to abandon their childhood for a pseudo adulthood with all the pressures of sex and semi sexual relationships and all the grief and heartache of failed relationships without the maturity to cope with them. All the pressure of world crisis real or imagined like global warning, the indoctrinations by the greens. Oh we give the children a plate full of woe and grief but refuse to give them the one thing that we as adults are actually responsible to insure that our children receive...........a childhood, one where there is time to play and grow and mature at a slower pace so that they are not overwhelmed and disillusioned by the problems that we adults are responsible for.
The people attacking our country, our People, and our culture are intelligent, ruthless, and absolutely rotten. Some are just opportunists along for the ride, but others bear much heavier culpability. I'm thinking of people like Betty Friedan and Andrea Dworkin, Catherine McKinnon, and the vast Oort-cloud of A-gay writers, producers, and directors in Hollywood and New York. Not forgetting the money men and bankers who cheapen human existence for gain, or the New Age atheists who attack morality and its Author for ideological reasons.
It is Christ who gives us true love and hope which sustains us as we face the mystery of evil in the world and the suffering it brings to our personal lives. Our culture decieves us with false promises which are devoid of truth, love and light and therefore leads to despair. The young and old need the light of Christ to face the challenges of life in the face of today’s evil.
It’s because they aren’t having enough abortions, I think.

As soon as they learn that they will only make 70 cents for every dollar a man makes.....life loses all meaning.
I saw that too, but nothing is stopping men from trying to do somewthing about the male suicide rate.
Wait a minute. The rate for boys IS OVER THREE TIMES THE GIRLS RATE, and they are so heavily concerned about a rise in the girls rate?
I completely agree.
Children thrive within firm boundaries: to much freedom too early causes them to feel unloved, insecure, and unable to cope with trying to figure out what gender they are, or whether they should have sex and take drugs like all the kids do.
Two things, absentee parent, and liberal dufi: they abandon what they would know in their hearts is best, their progressive, twisted brains thinking that what they should feel, is all wrong....or too damn inconvient. They seek, and find, affirmation from media, politicians, and reprobates. Their children whither. They really know why, but can’t admit it. A flowered shrine and grief counseling , and a search for someone or someone else to blame, is the insufficient nostrum. MHO
Satan IS an intelligent being, and there’s no reason to not believe he’s in full control (thanx to his successful effort to get people away from Godly teaching / preaching) and is systematically destroying God’s latest greatest gift to mankind ... a nation similar to his chosen ... a nation based on His way of thinking / doing things

I believe you are spot on here, however, this is not a new problem that arose in our culture. It is always contemporary in society, timeless since the first sin.
When I reflect on my own upbringing, Mama tried, but did not get through to ANY of her 8 children. Now 2, perhaps 2 more coming along, know Christ, and we’re in our 50’s. Personally, I had girlfriends who “got it” and tried to bring me along, but no male friends that “got it” until at least early adulthood. I was 33 before the blinders fell off.
I was the youth leader at our church in LA for a few years and saw only girls lead to Christ. At that time I did not understand how this was the same situation I experienced as a youth in the late 60s early 70s.
Maybe it’s just a guy thing. It’s certainly a Satan thing.
What does that mean?
The Feminazis convince them that they are victims, they lose hope, God has been removed from their lives...death looks like the easy way out.
