1. "Gangnam Style" by PSY (2012)

Someday, just maybe, I will understand this. But for now, still believing I can appreciate good music, I remain in absolute darkness when attempting to understand the popularity of "Gangnam Style".

It's quite weird how the dopiest songs become so popular. I would add to "Gangham Style" songs like "Whoomp! (There It Is)", "Push It", "Macarena" and anything at all by the Black Eyed Peas.
