Tattoos signify trashy people. Poor class, ugly. As bad as seeing someone smoke. Disgusting.

I'm a physician, so I see a lot of flesh.

Just my observation, but the classic "tramp stamp" is a tribal-style tattoo on the lower back, and because it was becoming literally a joke, I've seen fewer in the past 5 years or so.

At least among the 20 something set.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if the newest "trend" was having NO tattoos.

Now THAT would make a statement.

Someone who doesn't just blindly follow fads.

I can't say I'm a fan of tattoos on anyone, although some guys can pull them off alright. I can't think of one time I ever thought a girl looked good with a tattoo.

I used to harbor a secret notion that I'd look cool with a tattoo. I usually don't even remember dreams, but once I had a vivid, lucid dream that I got a tattoo (it was Odysseus slaying a cyclops on my right upper arm). Sounds silly as heck for sure, but it cured me of my secret notion!

There is no such thing as a good tattoo. Worse, seeing an old person with old tattoo—sagging, dried out, old skin with tattoo that only makes it worse. Traumatizing and sad.

The best tramp stamp I ever saw simply said “Danielle,” just as if it was embroidered on a cowgirl belt. That way, her many lovers would know what to yell out at the appropriate moment. How functional!

Males or females who do that to themselves may have a desperate need to follow the crowd. In my Navy days I once imbibed a bit too much and nearly added a picture to the epidermis.

Only a hangover prevailed followed by a cooler head. These days I'm making a statement.

Nevertheless, I've been out of the hunt for a long time. If I ever rejoin, the lass who needs such displays would also require a personality that could overwhelm it. Who knows? Maybe I need the same.
