Many of the dogs I know are kinder and more loving than many of humans I know.

In general, dogs are preferable to people. Especially Liberals.

“By the end of the puppet show test, the dogs did indeed appear to be weary of the rat puppet.”

Our dogs like to watch “The Five” on Fox.

They like Dana Perino, but they appear to be weary of Bob Beckel. Come to think of it, he is also a rat puppet.

Laurie Santos, director of the Yale Canine Cognition Center, explains that hundreds of volunteer dogs are used as subjects of puppet shows and a series of other cognitive tests

Well there you go. Obviously dogs are smarter than we thought. After all, at least SOME of them were able to read the fliers asking for volunteers.

Good thing they did not use my dog. She would have torn the rat puppet to shreds.

I have always believed that every level of God’s creation, from the sub-atomic to the cosmological and everywhere in between, is infinitely complex. This obviously includes anything biological. Virtually every major new scientific discovery reveals a new layer of complexivity, highly integrated and apparently designed to accomplish various specific tasks. Yet some would have you believe this is a random coincidence.

“Fetch the ball!”
“Fetch the ball!”
“Fetch the ball!”
“Fetch the stick?”
“Fetch the ball!”
“Is it time to eat??”
“Is it time to.... CAR!!!”
“Look at the car!!”
“Is it time to eat??”

I think dogs are telepathic. My dog always seems to know what I intend to do before I do it. He also lets me know when he needs something, like a lift up on the bed. He is smarter than a lot of people I run into.

My dog doesn’t know she’s a dog. When another dog approaches her, she completely ignores them. And I mean COMPLETELY.

From about 1998 to 2010 or so I had a Corgi mix named Roxy. She was not my fave dog as I could never get her to not potty in the house and in her later years she was VERY aggressive to my other dog.

Anyway, she used to do this thing where she would take out one morsel of food and place it out of her bowl in the middle of the floor. She would lie down like a sphinx with her head resting on her legs in front of her. She made herself far enough away that she would be able to entice a cat over to come inspect it, but close enough where she could go in for the kill and grab HER morsel when they walked into her trap. It used to crack me up and amaze me at her planning. She had a thought process going on. I swear to goodness her motivation was that she was bored and wanted to get some crap started with the cats. Kinda like my mom does with my dad. ;) Poor Roxy. I miss her even though she was quirky. :(

My dog is a protects the couch with quiet ferocity. To this day no one has stolen the couch and it has not floated away.

My dog loves TV, the Dog TV channel, will get up from his rug and bark at four legged animals, (people are O.K.). If we say dog he will whirl around and see if there is a dog in a commercial (there are lots of them) and bark and leap at the TV. The Budweiser commercial was different. He did a whimper bark when the pup was in danger.

We have got to get a picture/short video of him doing this.

A big question is would it be possible to “force evolution” for dogs?

There are any number of improvements that could be made to canines, that would give people more of what we enjoy in dogs.

1) Longer, healthier lives.
2) Greater intelligence. Eventually learning how to communicate several ideas.
3) The ability to indicate that they have pain or discomfort, and “where it hurts”.
4) To be able to let us know that they sense important things we cannot.
5) The ability to voice communicate with each other.

Our dog is racist!! Seriously, when we have people come to the front door (sales) she’ll growl and bark - but only if they’re black!! I can’t explain it, I always treat them the same. Thing is, she’s totally harmless!! One (very large) guy saw the dog and said “whoa” and stepped back five feet...which is generally a good thing, but I could only think, “if only you knew” lol.

She’s going on 14, quite the princess in general - my wife spoiled her.
