Well, I think part of the problem is that they posted the photo in jpeg format, with compression, and a low resolution! There seems to be a lot of “noise” and distortion caused by that, so it’s hard to tell how good/bad she actually looks.
Calling this “unretouched” is a bit of a misnomer, when the format itself is altering the image.
