Have to disagree with that sentiment. You should not need a permit to "gather" any more than to exercise your other rights under the first or second amendments. It's not the gathering that's the problem, but the behavior it begets. The failure to respond appropriately to the behavior merely encourages more of the same.
I agree with you, and stand corrected. I was referring to those Ferguson-inspired protests that blocked traffic, made entry into some events impossible, threatened bystanders, and ruined public holiday activities. Civilized people can gather for a rally without all that.
my point is that these idiot kids saw those protestors get away with the mayham and think they're entitled.
