The actor (whose name momentarily escapes me) did a fantastic job!
That's the beauty of this series, after time even the most insignificant good guys get knocked off after we've come to love them....
Right now watching "Shaun of the Dead" on AMC........pretty funny.

SPOILER:(Select) In the comics, anyway, Gabriel makes it to the next safe zone and is still alive, but that could change with the TV series, of course.
