My advice to you is to support INDIVIDUAL candidates and campaigns with your money. Frankly, I’ve looked in to these tea party related organizations and I have a personal opinion is that a lot of it is all about personal enrichment of the organizers. The names are all so similar and slightly different and it is extremely hard to sift them (wheat from chaff). So my view is to forego giving them money to support conservative candidates but to support the candidates directly.

Every one of these organizations can be compared to the federal government: All your money goes to a central organization and they do with it what they want, without further input from you.

You are absolutely correct: give money to the individual candidate or the local cause that you support.

Hear! Hear! The best advice of the day, week, month, year, and decade.

Know exactly where your hard earned dollars go, and if/when you give to committees with "nice sounding" names, how much of the money is skimmed before the remainder goes to your presumed destination.
