He makes over $12 million a year, that's a slap on the wrist. He should be fired period. And then sent to MSNBC for the rest of his career or until they go under which ever comes first.

So the multi millionaire gets to enjoy his wealth for six months, eh? Must be nice.
To: Beave Meister
Good riddance. Perhaps this will keep the rest of the talking heads in check for a short while.

Six months will give NBC time to see if Lester Holt can handle the anchor job and time to find a replacement if he doesn’t pan out.

“this was a very hard decision. Certainly there will be those who disagree. But we believe this suspension is the appropriate and proportionate action”
Because basically integrity is not a big factor on our network and we had no idea people would get so upset about this.

Appears the Left is already starting to try to rehabilitate him. On Twitter:
“Of all the lies I’ve been told about Iraq, Brian William’s lie bothers me the least. #wmd”
They just don’t realize the lies were that no WMDs were found.

Actually, I think this is a big blow for Williams. He's been rich long enough that money isn't a problem. His serial self-inflating lying, however, points to a pathological need for approval -- and this suspension is a big stamp of disapproval.
On yet another hand, he may be delusional enough to come back in 6 months as if nothing ever happened.
To: Beave Meister
I sense that the six month suspension will mean the end...of his career, at least at NBC,
I cant imagine anyone coming back from being shamed by their employer and performing very well. or having much or an audience
I think this is a sack.

Not fired? Do they understand that there is NO credibility in the news?
There are a couple of things that will result in instant termination: lying on a resume, and lying about your work.
Who the hell would listen to anything the news drones have to say at this point?

You Are There was a 1950s American historical educational CBS television program with Walter Cronkite. I recall that it "covered" historical events as TV covered contemporary news. I liked it. This was before the 1960s Cronkite.
Mr. Brian Williams could make use of his predisposition.. I Was There. Seriously. Could be a success.. if an honest attempt was made to present events without bias.

Hey, how about firing the liar jerk instead of just feigning trauma for suspending him?
