when Vince Flynn’s novels make it the big screen I sure hope the director doesn’t try to alter the screenplay so its not true to the book.

I guess you shouldn’t work with EL James unless you can take a beating.

“EL James was very hands-on with the film.”

Because, you know, when your claim to fame is to write a badly spelled, badly edited, horribly written fanfiction story loosely based on a hokey, badly written novel (Twilight), you know so much about film-making. /sarc

I don’t generally complain about how people make a living or what people choose to consume, but man...I cannot understand what sort of person would actually want to go see this movie. Is it the same impulse that makes people rubberneck at a car accident?

Please, film gods, make this one lose lots and lots of money.

Do people not understand that erotica novels have been around for ages? There is simply nothing new here. And I'm not talking about the books from two centuries ago. Browse Amazon and you'll see thousands of modern selections of erotica, BDSM, and pretty much any flavor of kink that might .. uh, float your boat. I'm simply perplexed at the hysteria over this book and now movie. The power of marketing is impressive -- but why THIS book?

I’d be embarrassed to admit I read this.
Let alone go to the movie
