Yup, I noticed that too. I believe his exact words were along the line of “borders are important”. Too bad he has no regard for our southern border he, as POTUS, has as job #1.

Obama also doesn't care that arms that go to dysfunctional Kiev could easily end up in the hands of neo-Nazies who could wreak havoc in Germany and other European countries with large and dissatisfied nationalistic populations. They could be used against ethnic Poles and Hungarians and others who don't want to fight for the Kiev government any more that eastern Ukranians do.
Europe could end up with two armed and dangerous internal threats.
