Go figure, the remains of an American human are now considered a commodity and subject to auction...........

Why was the skull of a Civil War soldier auctioned when it should have received a proper burial?

They were such a good time because there were no muzzies to deal with.

Typically, the sale of body parts begins at clinical death. Skin, eyes, and various internal organs get donated by the deceased or their families, then sold.

1492 was a good year but the modern European f’d everything up again around 1960 with the Wirtschaftwunder and their import of bearded barbarians as cheap labor.
It was the most fateful, historical and expensive decision they ever made.

I’m pretty sure digging in a federally protected place like Gettysburg is against the law, and selling of human remains is of course illegal.

Good grief! Who auctions off a human skull? Who buys one? Pretty disgusting, IMO.

The mystery is, why would anyone be digging for veteran graves to auction off the craniums?I have a feeling there is a big "rest of the story" here that hasn't been made public yet. Somebody probably defrauded somebody. And even if the original story were true why wouldn't veterans organizations and/or the Army insist that this skull be treated as human remains and not a souvenir?

So, are we talkin' 'Red Dot' Indians or 'WaHoo' Indians?
I'm thinkin' probably 'WaHoo' but ya can't be sure.
Them Patels have a lot of motels in the SW and it could have been one of them from back in the day.

It was an Indian sharpshooter ready to take out a Union general. Brian Williams was there and took out the threat.
