According to a former radical Muslim, there is a strict requirement among at least some radical Muslims that men grow a beard, but at the same time, their mustache *must* be trimmed.
At the time, this can be seen in the picture of the killer, that he had a natural beard, but a trimmed mustache. Though it is no longer trimmed.
Now this being said, the killer had also been diagnosed as having schizophrenia; and he had been tasked while in the army with guarding Muslim prisoners. And he had expressed sympathy to them in messages to his father.
Okay, so what? In this trial in Texas, a judge would likely not allow a question to the prosecutor asking the killer what his religion was. But in this case, if the killer testifies in his own behalf, the judge might allow the question, but only as it goes to the killer’s motive for killing Kyle.
If the killer answered that he is a Muslim, it changes the entire complexion of the trial, other than the question is he mentally competent.
Of course, his attorney should adamantly insist that he not testify. But if he is indeed a Muslim fanatic, he could not resist the opportunity to spout.
All in all, the case presents a lot of opportunity for drama.

The facial hair is a weak part of the theory here, but the other factors tend to point in the same direction.
I have better “Islamic hair” than he does ... and I am definitely an Evangelical Christian. In fact, there are Muslims who are jealous of me ... LOL ...
Facial hair aside you don’t get PTSD from being on base your whole tour and never being put under the stress of combat. That is just not a likely scenario.
So now we are all supposed to believe that this guy Routh was sitting out at the gun range on a nice sunny day with Chris Kyle and his friend and all of a sudden he has an episode where he remembers the slushy machine on base failing to drop a cup and he goes nuts and shoots two people who are not threatening him in any way. I don’t think so.
This whole thing has always been weird. Never any details that I have heard or read about have been released about the circumstances of the shooting. There is a lot to question about this.
It’s a huge stretch, and some of Walid Shoebat’s stuff has been, shall we say, exaggerated.
