The “asking for the help” is not the problem ... the problem is in expecting the “government” to be the one doing it. You’re framing this as if I’m saying that it’s the “asking for help” that is not a conservative position. If you really read up on this stuff, you’ll find “that” is not it. It’s demanding that “government” be the avenue for help ... food stamps, health care, housing, phones, living costs, and you name it. No ... the conservative position is to NOT TAX EVERYONE for whomever the government determines needs help ... but rather allow conservatives to “freely give help” as they personally see fit to individuals, churches, organizations and whomever else needs it. It is NOT COERCED and FORCED a from government but freely given by individuals themselves.
” the conservative position is to NOT TAX EVERYONE for whomever the government determines needs help “
Except the mentally ill do need help. They can be dangerous to themselves and others.
This isn’t about Obamaphones or lotto tickets.
The fact that you’re trying to lump a serious medical emergency in with the graft of welfare cheats is pretty telling.
Unless of course you support that same position for all public services such as the fire and police depts or even jails.
