Per the Wikipedia article on the subject:
"As part of their probe into the allegations, the NFL required the Patriots to turn over all notes and tapes relating to the taping of opponents' defensive signals; the Patriots complied with the order and the NFL reviewed and then destroyed the materials."
So it was multiple times but we'll never know the full extent of the taping scandal going on because the nfl hq destroyed the materials without anyone else ever getting a chance to see all that was going on. No wonder Robert Kraft speaks so highly of Goodell and vice versa.

So, you can’t prove your assertion.

Take it up with the NFL. They, after all called the signal filming cheating even though the fine was puny - it is there.
Will another fine prove it to you, or not? Or should the league also shut STFU?
To: Biggirl
I already had a ton of respect for one the greatest coaches in history but that shirt clinches it.
Can we draft Belichick for President?

No, I can. We know for a fact that there were more spying tapes. The only thing we don't know is what exactly was on them and who else was taped because the NFL destroyed them. So you can act like a defense lawyer all you want, but the truth is the truth.

No, the President after all has to talk to the press and we know that Belichick never talks to the press.

First positive thing I’ve heard about him in days.

In case you aren’t keeping up, the “newest” DeflateGate revelation is that only ONE Football was found to be deflated.
Innocent until proven Guilty, and nobody has proved Guilt.
Not that I really care either way, but the whole thing is hilarious.
Any problems with the Puppy Bowl Teams that I haven’t heard about yet? Doctored squeaky toys, Dinovite spiked Gatorade?

Well, he obviously used the Jedi Master trick and made the Seahawks Pass when they could have Run it in.
That isn’t the Play that you’re looking for. LOL

The truth, in your own words, is we don’t know what was filmed.

So it was multiple times
It was only illegal for part of one quarter of one game before the uniformed and credentialled staffer was stopped.
but we’ll never know the full extent of the taping scandal going on because the nfl hq destroyed the materials without anyone else ever getting a chance to see all that was going on.
Also wrong. There were reporters that had gotten to see them and described them. Jay Glazer in particular gave descriptions, including other teams waving at the obvious and open cameraman. As the NFL had just ruled that the Dolphins receiving tapes from the local Miami television stations was not a violation of any rules, and quite vigorously stated that teams could use such footage, any release of the videos would be legally usable by any other team. The tapes were destroyed because the NFL found that even supposedly locked up, they were getting leaked, and destroyed them to stop that. It’d be kindof daft to release information which was “not to be used” publicly.
All that said...do you even know what the infraction was? Most screaming Mimi’s have no idea.

Yeah, that's why the NFL HQ was so hog wild to ensure they were destroyed before anyone else saw them. But I guess you're a defense lawyer type who ponders (like Bill Clinton) over the meaning of "is"....
The rest of us who have a brain cell in our head know that there was more filming and cheating on those films. The reason Mangini made the complaint in the first place to the NFL is because he was a former New England coach and knew very well what was going on.

Yes, illegal taping of which the NFL sent a memo around in 2006 specifically saying that the taping of other teams practices, team hand signals etc was illegal.
To: Old Teufel Hunden
The memo was in 2007, and it was in regards the location that the taping was from.
The memo, unfortunately, didn’t reflect an actual rule. The referenced rule specified that no taping of any type could be used during the game...which Belichick was explicitly exonerated of, and which even your having the tapes yourself would be unrevealing regardless of what was on them. Again, that the Pats were being videotaped with their line calls being collected with shotgun mikes, and tapes with those recordings given to and used by the Dolphins had just been deemed not to violate any rules.
Stealing signals was not, and is not illegal. You just can’t use video to do it during the game. The memo created an unsupported rule which also limited the places the camera could reside...which was the violation.
There was never any evidence presented that the Patriots taped any practices...there wasn’t even an accuser.

So, the brain in your head tells you exactly what was on the films you never saw. Tell me, was it a little voice in you head that explained all this? You consider me lawyerly because I can’t tell you what was on something I didn’t see but you consider yourself reasonable because you can. I think I’ll stick with my approach to things; good luck with yours.

"Stealing signals was not, and is not illegal."
After the investigation, Goodell determined that what they did was in violation of league rules. They fined Belichick 500,000 which was the maximum he could be fined and the highest fine ever imposed on a coach in the history of the NFL and the took away a first round draft pick. You can spin it any way you want, but the above facts are not in dispute. It's what happened.

No, I have what's called commen sense. Its the use of deductive reasoning. Something which you refuse to do since you must be a die hard Pats fan. I'm not a Pats fan and I'm not a hater, though I don't like Belichick. However, they didn't impose the highest fine allowed on him and the highest against a coach ever in NFL history because they thought what he did was okay. He was told to turn over all evidence of signal stealing (aka cheating) that he had. He turned over many other tapes. Common sense tells me that those tapes had more cheating on it. See how deductive reasoning works? Try it sometime. You probably still think OJ was innocent of killing his wife. It's quite obvious why they destroyed those tapes. They wanted this scandal to go away. Just like they wanted the whole Ray Rice scandal to just go away.
To: Old Teufel Hunden
Common sense, not commen sense sorry for the misspelling...
To: Old Teufel Hunden
So they reviewed the tapes everyone knew about and fined him,as per the rules. Then your “commen” (sic) sense told you there was super secret additional violations that the NFL refused to make known. Got it.
