The New England Patriots weren't always a NFL powerhouse. Far from it. But for many years they have stretched the rules for the sake of winning. And that started with the infamous "snow plow game."...As the field-goal unit came on, a man named Mark Henderson drove the sweeper...But instead of sweeping only the 20-yard line, Henderson veered three yards wide, across the 23, where Matt Cavanaugh would hold the ball for placekicker John Smith. Dolphins coach Don Shula threw a fit...
Jeez...i hope they blow out the Seahawks just to shut these people up.
With all of the sports experts out there, there is no way to “cheat.” The crap people talk about are the equal of a speeding ticket.
Lets see what happens. Hopefully this will be the most serious thing we talk about this year.
>>a dump with zero amenities
If it had something to drink, a place to pee, and a FOOTBALL game, then it was all anyone needed.
I live in Jacksonville, home of the crappy Jaguars and a stadium FILLLED with amenities. The swimming pool doesn’t make touchdowns!
I don’t care either way about this game. It’s just a bunch of wife-beaters that the Commissioner lets slide by, only to raise hell about some deflated footballs.
Yes- I remember the snow plow game...was in Shea stadium freezing my butt off watching the Jets beat the Bucs when they showed the final score...i got back to my apartment in college and found out the whole story...
“Dolphins coach Don Shula threw a fit...”
same Don Shula who left the tarp off the field four weeks later at the Orange Bowl the night before the AFC title game when they had torrential downpours in Miami which negated the Jets offensive speed the next day...boo hoo Don...
btw- the official let the snowplow on the field...
Seriously?
Go Pats!
They have a long record, and they’ve gotten away with it.
Despite all the caterwauling, 31 NFL teams would hire Bill Belichick as head coach tomorrow if he made himself available. And 31 NFL teams would trade for Tom Brady - who as I’m typing this, just threw another TD in his 6th Super Bowl game.
