Active NFL players weren’t the only ones making headlines this week. Tim Tebow, existing on the seedy outskirts of the sport as a host for the SEC Network, wrestled himself an invite to a celebrity golf tournament in Phoenix in the days leading up to the Super Bowl.
The good news: Tim Tebow won. The bad news: It was a golf tournament, not an NFL game. The worse news: It wasn’t even a real golf tournament. It was the Phoenix Open Celebrity par-3 tournament, which is sort of a step up from Putt-Putt. Sort of.
He played the Phoenix Open Pro-Am with Patrick Reed, a PGA tour member, and against Urban Meyer, his old coach. Maybe Meyer can take some solace in knowing that he’s the head coach of the best college football program in the country right now. I hope that helps him through this dark time.
Here’s the shot that won Tebow the ‘closest to the pin” title on the 16th hole:
And here are some pics of Tebow, Meyer, Reed, and Reed’s predictably hot wife:

As if winning a celebrity par-3 in Phoenix wasn’t humiliating enough, Tim Tebow had to do it while wearing that.
His shot was 11’3” and he won $40,000 for the @timtebowfoundation!

Go Gators!
Good pic...
Our FRiend and FReeper witnesses there in Davao City
$40,000 for 18 holes of golf is nothing to sneeze at!
Today they seize abandoned homes tomorrow occupied homes as the “rich b*stards” should no longer deprive them. The people that really built the country should possess it. /S/
it seems Ms. Collins has his panties in a twist and a raging hate-on for Tim, no doubt fueled by religious bigotry
The author is obviously a crap-weasel d-bag with an axe to grind about Tim Tebow being a moral person rather than being like such luminaries as Marshawn Lynch.
It might not take a couple of years for that
All he does is win!
