I first always ask the Bears up here if they mind if I pet ‘em! If they say it is okay, I do. So far so good.......

Also on the property are 2 other black bears, a panther, a gator and several birds.Gives her something to look forward to as she's healing up. Her next visit should be great.

Did she try offering the bear a Coke?

Plant flowers and vegetables that bear crops above ground during the light, or waxing, of the moon: from the day the Moon is new to the day it is full.

I’m a retired zookeeper. This happens more often than you’d think, but people usually get away with minor injuries. Except for that idiot woman who tried to pet a wolf where I used to work. The wolf had to be shot so they could get her arm out of it’s mouth.

About 10 years ago I was in Yosemite, and a couple of bears popped out of the woods. As I was heading in the opposite direction, I couldn’t believe the number of morons who were cooing “how cute” as they made their way forward, to snap pictures.

I guess that’s it for my idea of a scorpion, Black Widow, and King Cobra petting zoo.

Who in any state of mind sticks their arm in a cage with a 400 pound bear? This would be like going to your local zoo and attempting to pet a panther or cougar through the 4x4 inch cage gaps.Happens quite often. There are a lot of idiots out there.
