A man protesting Fox News shot himself in the chest and was critically injured Monday outside of the News Corp. building in midtown, authorities and sources said.
The man, who was not identified, was found just before 9 a.m. sitting slumped outside of the building on Sixth Avenue and West 47th Street, cops and witnesses said.
Police at the scene said that the man apparently shot himself with a small-caliber pistol, which was found on the ground next to him. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, cops said.
Prior to the shooting, the man was heard protesting Fox News, saying that the news channel ruined his life, a source said.
Security guards asked the man to leave and when they turned around to walk back inside, they heard a gunshot, the source said.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, had what appeared to be a suicide note in his pocket, the source added.

Story is a hoax their are no guns in NY.
Glenn Beck?
Hey man, nice shot.
Unfair and definitely unbalanced
I've had a crush on the "Queen of Fox" for quite a few years now. My wife is aware but does not seem to care. Anyway, I certainly wouldn't take it personal if I were to be rejected by her. She must have guys asking her out all the time.
Bruce Jenner is supposedly having himself surgically altered to look like her. But he'll never come close, no matter how much money he spends.
Maybe this is a liberal progressive fad, hope so
Some are, some aren’t, but it seems to be a lot more widespread and socially acceptable than it was when I was growing up. Television, no-dad families, and the general media assault on manhood, from an early age onward seem to be factors.
Maybe she didn’t have a gun.
More proof that liberalism is a mental disease.
Was it this guy?
