It’s only sort of weird. Disruption through false bomb threats costs the airlines lots of money, annoys passengers, slows down all of the incoming flights...and costs the terrorists nothing.

You're right. It costs nothing for them to do and the airlines can't just assume that it's a phony threat. I guess we can count on more.
