I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Robert Moog in the mid ‘90’s. He was marketing a line of polyphonic pianos (I can’t recall the brand name).

Do you know they have recently remodeled considerably, refurbished, the place looks like a million bucks but it is still very much The Rongo. I've been there a couple of times since the upgrade; the food is very good (dinner menu is still small, but excellent), the stage has been redone, bar is still the huge tree slab but the decor is classier. It's really quite striking.
