A clever politician that wanted to win would be campaigning on this and filing actual charges in every school district for child abuse against the boards implimenting it.

What are these peasant kids whining about? If they don’t like Queen Michelle’s food, let them eat cake.
These kids wish they could eat as well as prison inmates. Prisoner meals were one of the things you never screwed with if you wanted to keep peace in the facility. They were fed well at all meals, with desserts at lunch and supper. Hell, back when Auburn prison (NY) had their own bakery, each convict was able to take a whole loaf of bread back to their cells to make sandwiches later if they wanted.
Absolutely! But unfortunately, the GOP no longer has any clever politicians.
